WISTA Canada is hosting the 33rd edition of the WISTA International Conference and Annual General Meeting from October 2nd to the 4th, 2013 at the prestigious Fairmount Queen Elizabeth Hotel in the heart of downtown Montréal. Thus, for the very first time, this important event will be held in Canada.
WISTA is an international organization encompassing over thirty national chapters and over 1,800 members. Some of the most prominent players in the international marine community will be present including ship owners, operators, brokers, bankers, insurance professionals, lawyers, and government officials.
Following the success of last year’s International Conference held in Paris, WISTA Canada has chosen the theme of “Navigating the Seas of Change.” In brief, we will have an impressive panel of speakers to shed light on the growing economic, environmental, and political challenges the shipping industry currently faces including North American and global perspectives.
WISTA Canada is strongly supported by the Port of Montreal and many key players in the Canadian marine community who recognize the potential impact over 200 women in management positions can have on the growth of the international marine and shipping industry.
We look forward to your participation in this landmark event.
